Lifestyle coaching, which enables patients to make powerful changes in the six domains of lifestyle medicine: nutrition/diet, exercise/movement, sleep, stress reduction, emotional connectedness, and the avoidance of harmful substances.
I specialize in four types of therapy:
Supportive therapy, which involves listening without negative judgments, encouraging verbalization of deep/true feelings, normalizing feelings when normal (as they often are), comforting/reassuring/providing emotional support, and advising when asked for advice.
Cognitive therapy, which addresses negative self-talk, negative core beliefs, and other anchors, and which points out and reframes negative perspectives on the self, the body, love, work, and life itself.
I consult for large institutions, offering an online employee program in Lifestyle Psychiatry designed to optimizing employees’ physical health, mental health, and performance. On a limited basis, I also visit corporate sites to offer tailored recommendations and sessions.
